DENISE VAN DEVENTER
My passion as a filmmaker and writer comes from a life-long obsession with creating stories. I've always loved the science behind it, being able to manipulate the audience's emotions and thought processes with images and movement. I find that writing stories has built my understanding of the human mind over the years and improved my skills as a creator. Watching people's reaction towards your creation has always brought a sense of satisfaction and driven me to create the next fictional world and characters.
In February 2019 I started my Film Arts Studies at Open Window Institute and am currently finishing my last year. My studies have focused on a double major in Screenwriting and Film & Television. Building my skills in all aspects of filmmaking from producing to directing to editing a film. I've learned how to work with gear, plan a film and write kickass stories.
